Organizing student information can be an extremely complex process. Information is collected at different levels, at various times of the day, month and year for multiple reporting purposes. abusSTAR is a flexible tool designed to simplify the data collection process. For example, abusSTAR provides the ability to record attendance twice daily, record grades, generate grade averages, and calculate house-points based on the grade averages. This information can be shared among staff as needed, online or in a printed report.
In addition to tracking attendance, grades and performance, abusSTAR provides the ability to record other student information such as health issues, parent meetings, extracurricular activities, and academic plans. Teachers have an online tool to assist them in monitoring each student's progress throughout the term and across terms.
Because abusSTAR is a centralized Web based tool, it provides for a collaborative approach to managing student information. Teachers can share information on student performance, and work together to improve efficiencies in delivering courses. Teachers have the ability to schedule and coordinate the courses they teach. Conflicts are flagged preventing overlaps in times and classrooms.
